The Kandy Esala Perahera, also known as the Festival of the Tooth, is one of Asia’s oldest and most spectacular Buddhist festivals. Held annually in Kandy, Sri Lanka’s sacred hill capital, this majestic procession celebrates the sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha, housed at the Temple of the Tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa).
